We attempted to do a hike this weekend in Portola Redwoods State Park. I say "attempted" because super muddy, flooded trails that came to a dead-end at the river made this hike incomplete.

We have both been itching to get back outside and enjoy some time in Nature. However, all of the weekends lately have been filled with rain. This past Sunday, it was finally sunny again so we set out to hike to TipToe Falls. It was a bust.

We were happy enough to get some fresh air and while the road to the park was extremely curvy, it did have some amazing views. We finished the trip with a stop at REI where we bought some things we will need for our next trip which is sure to be as epic as them come.

Stay tuned...
